Author BIO

   In 2000 she was highly honoured to win the Woman Entrepreneur of the Year – Lifetime Achievement, from the Women Business Owners of Manitoba (WBOM). Canadian writer who has published her first book; Roswitha-Memories of a Life’s Journey. As Roswitha write this book, it has not been an easy journey for her, but it has certainly been an exciting and colourful life.
She retired from her business the Tea Cozy Restaurant ( 1982 - 2002 )  and she needed five years to write this book.
She went back to Red River College, Winnipeg at age 66 and obtained her Assistant Teacher Certificate in Early Childhood Education (ECE).

 From 2004-2009 she taught German language and culture at the South Winnipeg Kinderschule.

roswitha002.jpgRoswitha’s background as a successful businesswoman gives her a desire for perfection which she applies to her new vocation; she also brings in a rich cultural background and connections with the German and Austrian communities in Winnipeg.

Today, Roswitha has made Winnipeg her home since 1975. 

In the summer time she was touring seniors as a tour director for Fehr-Way Tour Company  2005-2012  retired 2012. 

 She is the Grandmother of two and remains very active with her hobbies of cycling, cooking, reading, as well as volunteering for various organizations.

She remains very busy with significant public appearances such as book signings and speaking engagements. 

The inspiring story of her life also contains a small collection of recipes.


Her first Book Launching was February 26.2008 at McNally Robinson Bookseller, Winnipeg .

The book was on the bestseller list at McNally Robinson, Winnipeg.

Since then, she has been very active in promoting and marketing her book. She has done numerous in-store book signings, media interviews  CityTV,Winnipeg. CJOB Radio,Winnipeg Shaw TV, magazines Winnipeg ) and speaking engagements.

                     She was keynote speaker at the Women Business Owners of Manitoba annual general meeting; and, at a Junior Achievements Award fundraiser which had 20 influential business women. She managed to get her book on-consignment on the shelves of most of Winnipeg’s major bookstores (Chapters St. Vital and Polo Park; Coles City Place and Kildonan Place; McNally Robinson Booksellers Grant Park and Polo Park,City of Winnipeg Library, Portage La Prairie Library, Legislative Library, Ottawa National Library,Ontario and two Winnipeg High Schools Libraries.  Book City in Toronto,Ontario . The book is in the archive of Donauwörth and Augsburg Germany where her research was done.
